Coming Food Shortage - What if it Actually Happens?
Even with our country in very obvious crisis, many are oblivious to the coming food shortage and the emergency survival situation that is looming on the horizon. Isn't it crazy how we take so many things for granted?
We get up in the morning, open the faucet and water comes rushing out.... we get a pot of coffee going, at the flip of a switch,....... we grab a quick shower with nice bright lights, of course,..... plug in the shaver or hair dryer and get ready for our day.... pop a bagel into the toaster, grab a cold drink and some lunch from the fridge and head off to work....
BUT just let some emergency situation arise,
Whether it be a natural emergency like flooding, fires, hurricanes or a bomb gets dropped somewhere in the city....And our life, as we know it, drastically changes, especially if the power goes out!
Life quickly takes on a whole new meaning and survival mode kicks in when the switches don't work, the faucet only spits and sputters, and all the food is gone bad in the fridge because there is no longer any power to keep it cold.
The first day or so of any meltdown, most folks will rush to the grocery store to stock up on emergency food items, but it takes only a few hours in most places to empty the store shelves. Which leaves us no other choice but to survive on whatever food storage we have at home.

Survivalists....
...have been quietly preparing for emergency survival , they will not have to leave their homes for months, as they will be well prepared , not only for the food shortage, but also in other ways.
Emergency Power...
Emergency or alternative source for electricity....For many it will be in the form of a small emergency electric generator or solar and wind power. Actually there are literally thousands of Americans turning to wind generators and solar panels as back-up and in many cases it's their ONLY source of alternative energy.
Start a Garden
Especially in the summertime. Those that have started with their survival gardening, will either have a garden started or will be prepared to start one in the event of a crisis. In the winter the shelves in their basement will be lined with canned goods. And not only are they prepared for the coming food shortage, they are saving money on their grocery bills, ... as when we start looking ahead, we automatically stock up on items that will save us money in the long run.
