If you are planning to either hop in the car and head for the country or the bush, then your emergency food storage plan will be entirely different.

In this case, I would HIGHLY recommend freeze dried foods, or something like Mountain House food packages as your plan for survival food.

This is for several reasons:

• They are much lighter and easier to pack into bug out bags or food buckets.
