What if there actually IS a food shortage in America in my lifetime.
While many thousands of Americansare denying the fact that anything is going to happen, others are quietly preparing for what may well be the worst economic disaster ever to hit our country.
Dear reader, if you are totally dependent on the supermarket down the street or the fast food restaurant for your daily groceries and meals, I beg of you to at least consider stockpiling a few weeks supply of food.
To my knowledge, no one has ever yet regretted having a few extra weeks of food on hand!

Imminent…
Regardless what anyone says, a coming food shortage is almost imminent.
We don’t have to listen to the news for any length if time to realize that, and even if there isn’t any major world crisis for a few years yet, there is always the danger of local things happening such as hurricanes, floods or tornadoes.
Or something as simple as a job loss can make us extremely grateful for those extra cans on the shelf.
Simple Ways to Get Started
One of the easiest ways to prepare for it is to get at least several months supply of food, like freeze dried or something similar, as that way it will store for as long as you need it to.
I personally think it’s just as good to keep several months of food as a backup supply.
When something is on sale that we use a lot of, I like to buy 2 or 3 extra. Store the extras in a dry cool place, and simply rotate the storage as we use our food supply.
The vacuum packed stuff and food buckets is a great idea if you can afford to do that, as it keeps for years and years, and you can simply stash it away and go on with life as normal, knowing you have that as back-up.
