So..How Does Wind Energy Work, Exactly??
I am not even going to pretend to be the expert on answering the question of "How does wind energy work?!"...I have never personally built a wind generator of any sort. My hubby knows more about this kind of stuff than I do but I have not been able to persuade him to write about it yet. :-)
If you live in both a windy AND sunny are, then you have the best of both worlds, as far as having a means of alternative energy .
What I CAN do, however is direct you to some information we have found over the past year that may help you, not only understand it better but also decide whether or not building a wind generator is what you will want to do.
Understanding HOW Wind Energy Works...
For many, many years, people have harnessed the wind to use as an energy source.
As long as the wind continues to blow, we can harness it's power for almost anything, including using wind energy for our homes.
Visit our page on wind energy to read more on the whole wind turbine thing.
Basically, you harness the wind by catching it on the blades of a windmill or turbine and turn it into the beautiful juice we call electricity.
I know... I keep sending you here and there on this page, but just remember that you have a back button to get you back to the original page as I keep sending you all over the creation!
I am sure that by now you have discovered there a gazillion places online where you can get programs to help you build your own generators or solar panels.
Here is a little bit of advice I have for you on that.
When you go to buy a solar or wind guide, just make sure you get one with videos.
I know, I didn't say IF, I said WHEN.
If you are really serious about creating alternative energy for your home, then sooner or later you will purchase a simple guide to help you.
It makes it SO much easier to SEE how they do it than to simply read about it...so just make sure you get a guide with videos.
