For a commercially installed system, you are looking at up to $50,000 to install enough solar panels and to buy everything on the entire system but once it is installed you will be able to run your entire home with the power of the sun.
It will take a number of years to recoup your investment but you will have a system that should last for years with a commercial unit.
And you can always sell your excess electricity back to the power company.
What Most People are Looking for though, are Smaller Units…

There are a variety of resources available online to help you get started in building your own panels and in deciding which is the best route for you to go.
We strongly encourage getting a guide that has videos to help you as it just makes it so much easier when you can actually SEE someone working on it.
With about an expense of $200 or so you can pick up most of the supplies at your local hardware or on Ebay, and start building a system according to what YOU need and want.
The beauty of building your own is that you can always add to it as you need more power.
Many have been able to produce enough power over time to completely off the grid and one friend of ours actually feeds his power BACK into the line,getting a utility CREDIT every month instead of a utility bill!
I actually think if you are a DIY type of person, you will be surprised how easy these are to build and in fact, there are guys that have started building solar panels for others as a part time job.
